How to...

This time I will show a quickly way of how a Graphic Designer makes a logo and how important is for a company to have a logo.

Corporate Identity design
Corporate identity, sometimes seen written as ID, refers to the external “personality” projected by a corporation.
The first aspect of corporate identity has to do with branding. The logo is often the center of company branding, since it is an easily recognizable symbol which sets the corporation aside from other companies.

Its a creative process, which is composed by some steps, and here I go....

Step 1: Read and get some information
On this step you will need to find the information about the company. Read carefully and find some of the strengths about it.

Step 2: Consult and search for composite ideas.
Look for magazines, newspapers, get out the phone book, just go through and find logos. Look when you're driving down the road, just look at logos of companies and be aware of different types of logos. First of all find something similar, don't copy a logo, because number one you could get sued over that but find something maybe a style that you like.

Step 3: Prepare some sketches
This is where you will concentrate and try to find your creative point of view, you can start making some random lines to focus, and to relax a little bit. Then try to use composite ideas and make a composition.

Getting Ready for your Job Interview

If you´re looking for a job, then let me tell you some advices :).

•What happens during a "job interview"?Sometimes a job interview is a few minutes of small talk, meet and greet chatting and then getting into the meat of the interview which is, what is your background, education experience, how can you be of benefit to us here in our company. And then a question and answer period for the candidate, where they have the opportunity to get their questions answered by the interviewer.

•What should I wear for my job interview?Always dress very professionally for every interview. For men that would usually be a suit and tie and for women that is usually a skirted or a slacks business suit as well. Always dress for the position that you are really wanting long term rather than the position you are applying for today.
•What are the key do's and don'ts for a great interview? The first thing you can do in an interview is to make a great impression, make eye contact, smile, and give a nice, firm handshake to your interviewer. This will set a very positive tone for the rest of the interview. Wait to sit down until the interviewer asks you to sit down. Don't put all your belongings on his or her desk. Make sure you keep your things to your side or in your lap. Their desk is their space, so be respectful of that.Use positive body language in the interview. Stand up, thank them again and don't forget to ask for the job before you leave.

•How do I handle an interview in a restaurant or cafe?Employers will ask you to have a meal so you have to know your dining etiquette, you have to stay focused on you rinterviewer and speak at an audible level.

•What do I do when more than one person is interviewing me?It's important to make sure that you adapt your communication style to both of those individuals.

•How can I rescue an interview that I know is going poorly?Best thing to do is to take a couple of steps back. Some of the tips to save an inteweview are: Ask the interviewers for directives, regroup and revive your energy to jump back into the interview.

•What are good tips for a telephone interview? The best thing to do is to make sure that you are very high energy, upbeat, you use a lot of inflection in voice, and, because that's all you have to make that great first impression is your voice. So that really needs to sell you in a phone interview and also find out from the employer what again is it that they're really looking for in terms of this position. Make sure you have your resume close to you.

•Can a potential employer ask me to take a lie detector test?Lie detector tests are illegal 99% of the time. The only time that an employer can ask for a lie detector test is if you are applying for some type of government or high-security type of position.

•What are illegal questions that an employer should not ask me?Employers are not allowed to ask any questions relating to ethnicity, family status, childbearing status, anything that relates to culture, gender, family status, anything like that.

•How do I handle the end of the interview? This is where you really have the opportunity to shine, and the best way is to wait when the interviewer says: Do you have any final cuestion? So this is when you ask: May I have the job?

•What do I do if an employer doesn't call me back after an interview? If they don't call you. Don't be shy about calling them. It's very important for you to be proactive about your career search. Don't wait. They may be busy. They may be out of town. They may be interviewing other people. It's important for you to keep your name and your resume in the front of the employer's mind while they're going through that decision making process.

Well this tips are very important, if you need and want to get a job, if you read this, and you are prepared, if you have the experience and that kind of things you will have lots of opportunities and you will have success.

Now you will see an interview and some of the questions of an interview...

Building rapport

Now I will show you some language tips if you want to get a job and to have a good relationship with your interviewer.
I want to look at building rapport, to examine how to build close professional relationships.

Now, I’m sure you are asking: “What exactly do you mean by rapport?” Well, for me rapport is a kind of between people, a sort of emotional connection, a positive relationship in which there is a deep understanding and liking. We often say people who have rapport are on the same wavelength they are even .

Now the key question to ask is: “Can we learn rapport skills?” And I think yes and I’d like to look at two specific .

The first is . Now this means your behaviour to the behaviour of others, becoming . It could mean using the same words, which others use when you talk. So someone says to you “It’s a good solution” you say “Yes I agree it’s a good because…” rather than “Yes, that’s an interesting idea”. So this mirroring of words has a real on your partner. It makes him feel that you understand and his reality. But all this demands a lot of and a lot of from your side, careful observation, careful listening and very careful control of what you say and how you say it. You need to do the same with , to communicate with a similar of voice, speed of speech, arm movements, even the way you sit. And this is not copying or to . I see it as a really positive effort to be and to connect to another human being so that you can really work together effectively.

The second technique is what I call positive . Now this means saying and doing things so that the other person will develop a similarly positive . It means for example talking about the future rather than the past. It means focusing on people’s rather than their weaknesses. It means bringing energy and to the way you communicate.
But be patient rapport building is a set of skills which can take time to . But, if you can develop these skills you’ll really have the power to build the you need to do business very effectively.

CMYK AND RGB

Hello buddies, now I am going to show you an article about something very interesting in the Graphic Design area
The CMYK color model is used in the printing process. To understand it, it is best to start with RGB color. The RGB color model (made up of red, green and blue) is used in your computer monitor, and is what you will view your projects in while still on screen. These colors, however, can only be viewed with natural or produced light, such as in the computer monitor, and not on a printed page. This is where CMYK comes in.

CMYK in Graphic Design
Graphic designers have to deal with the issue of seeing their work on screen in RGB, although their final printed piece will be in CMYK. Digital files should be converted to CMYK before sending to printers, unless otherwise specified. Because of this issue, it is important to use “swatches” when designing if exact color matching is important. Swatches provide a designer and client with a printed example of what a color will look like on paper. A selected swatch color can then be chosen in Photoshop (or a similar program) to insure the desired results. Even though the on-screen color won’t exactly match the swatch, you know what your final color will look like. You can also get a “proof” from a printer, which is an example of your printed piece provided before the entire job is run.

Next I  will tell you some grammar terms which are very important when you are going to analyze sentences
Adjective : In grammar, an adjective is a word whose main syntactic role is to qualify a noun or noun phrase, giving more information about the object signified.
Adverb: An adverb is a part of speech. Adverbs can modify verbs, adjectives (including numbers), clauses, sentences and other adverbs.
Conjunction: A conjunction is a joiner, a word that connects (conjoins) parts of a sentence.
Interjections: Interjections demonstrate emotion and are usually separated from the rest of the sentence by an exclamation point, and sometimes by a comma if the emotion is less stressed.
Noun: A noun is the name of a person, place, thing, or idea. Whatever exists, we assume, can be named, and that name is a noun.
Preposition: A preposition usually indicates the temporal, spatial or logical relationship of its object to the rest of the sentence as in the following examples:
Pronoun: A pronoun can replace a noun or another pronoun. You use pronouns like "he," "which," "none," and "you" to make your sentences less cumbersome and less repetitive.
Verb: The verb is perhaps the most important part of the sentence. A verb or compound verb asserts something about the subject of the sentence and express actions, events, or states of being.

Now I selected some sentences and I will show what is the grammar use that each one has:
1) The (definite article) CMYK color model (nouns) is (verb) used (adjective) in (preposition) the printing (adjective) process (noun).

2) RGB (noun) is (verb) what (pronoun) you(pronoun) will view(verb) your (pronoun) projects (noun) in (preposition) while still on(preposition) screen(noun)

3) This (pronoun) is (verb) where (conjunction) CMYK (noun) comes (verb) in (preposition).

1) Graphic designers (noun) have (verb) to (preposition) deal(verb) with(preposition) the (definite article) issue(noun) of (preposition) seeing(conjunction) their (possessive adj.) work (noun) on(preposition) screen in(preposition) RGB(noun)

2) files(noun) should (auxiliary verb) be (verb) converted (verb) to(preposition) CMYK(noun) before(preposition) sending(verb) to(preposition) printers(noun)

3) it is(verb) important(adjective) to(preposition) use(verb) “swatches” (noun)

Falling in love

This is a video that my teacher showed in my class, all my partners had to say what our opinion was about it.

Fall from Lainy Voom on Vimeo.

Well, in my opinion, the video shows the girl thinking of a guy, remembering things about him and seeing a picture, the colors around her tell us that she is kind of sad because she cant see him, and then the colors change into blue and cool ones, the video show the people how deep can a person fall for another one, it shows the girl falling into the water and then into some grass, she flyes into the sky and some other things and then they see eachother and they share a love hug.
