How to...

This time I will show a quickly way of how a Graphic Designer makes a logo and how important is for a company to have a logo.

Corporate Identity design
Corporate identity, sometimes seen written as ID, refers to the external “personality” projected by a corporation.
The first aspect of corporate identity has to do with branding. The logo is often the center of company branding, since it is an easily recognizable symbol which sets the corporation aside from other companies.

Its a creative process, which is composed by some steps, and here I go....

Step 1: Read and get some information
On this step you will need to find the information about the company. Read carefully and find some of the strengths about it.

Step 2: Consult and search for composite ideas.
Look for magazines, newspapers, get out the phone book, just go through and find logos. Look when you're driving down the road, just look at logos of companies and be aware of different types of logos. First of all find something similar, don't copy a logo, because number one you could get sued over that but find something maybe a style that you like.

Step 3: Prepare some sketches
This is where you will concentrate and try to find your creative point of view, you can start making some random lines to focus, and to relax a little bit. Then try to use composite ideas and make a composition.

Getting Ready for your Job Interview

If you´re looking for a job, then let me tell you some advices :).

•What happens during a "job interview"?Sometimes a job interview is a few minutes of small talk, meet and greet chatting and then getting into the meat of the interview which is, what is your background, education experience, how can you be of benefit to us here in our company. And then a question and answer period for the candidate, where they have the opportunity to get their questions answered by the interviewer.

•What should I wear for my job interview?Always dress very professionally for every interview. For men that would usually be a suit and tie and for women that is usually a skirted or a slacks business suit as well. Always dress for the position that you are really wanting long term rather than the position you are applying for today.
•What are the key do's and don'ts for a great interview? The first thing you can do in an interview is to make a great impression, make eye contact, smile, and give a nice, firm handshake to your interviewer. This will set a very positive tone for the rest of the interview. Wait to sit down until the interviewer asks you to sit down. Don't put all your belongings on his or her desk. Make sure you keep your things to your side or in your lap. Their desk is their space, so be respectful of that.Use positive body language in the interview. Stand up, thank them again and don't forget to ask for the job before you leave.

•How do I handle an interview in a restaurant or cafe?Employers will ask you to have a meal so you have to know your dining etiquette, you have to stay focused on you rinterviewer and speak at an audible level.

•What do I do when more than one person is interviewing me?It's important to make sure that you adapt your communication style to both of those individuals.

•How can I rescue an interview that I know is going poorly?Best thing to do is to take a couple of steps back. Some of the tips to save an inteweview are: Ask the interviewers for directives, regroup and revive your energy to jump back into the interview.

•What are good tips for a telephone interview? The best thing to do is to make sure that you are very high energy, upbeat, you use a lot of inflection in voice, and, because that's all you have to make that great first impression is your voice. So that really needs to sell you in a phone interview and also find out from the employer what again is it that they're really looking for in terms of this position. Make sure you have your resume close to you.

•Can a potential employer ask me to take a lie detector test?Lie detector tests are illegal 99% of the time. The only time that an employer can ask for a lie detector test is if you are applying for some type of government or high-security type of position.

•What are illegal questions that an employer should not ask me?Employers are not allowed to ask any questions relating to ethnicity, family status, childbearing status, anything that relates to culture, gender, family status, anything like that.

•How do I handle the end of the interview? This is where you really have the opportunity to shine, and the best way is to wait when the interviewer says: Do you have any final cuestion? So this is when you ask: May I have the job?

•What do I do if an employer doesn't call me back after an interview? If they don't call you. Don't be shy about calling them. It's very important for you to be proactive about your career search. Don't wait. They may be busy. They may be out of town. They may be interviewing other people. It's important for you to keep your name and your resume in the front of the employer's mind while they're going through that decision making process.

Well this tips are very important, if you need and want to get a job, if you read this, and you are prepared, if you have the experience and that kind of things you will have lots of opportunities and you will have success.

Now you will see an interview and some of the questions of an interview...
